Closet pricing varies more than people expect, mostly because "custom closet" covers everything from a few added shelves to a fully bespoke, designer-finish walk-in. These ranges are starting points, not ceilings — the final number comes down to your design choices:

From your first consultation to the day of installation, most custom closet projects run 4 to 6 weeks — not because anyone is dragging their feet, but because real manufacturing takes real time. Here's what happens in that window:

This is the step most DIY closet design projects get wrong, and it's the reason so many pre-made kits end up returned or reworked. A few things worth knowing before you grab a tape measure:
Door swing eats more space than you think. Closet and bedroom doors both need clearance — a system that looks fine on paper can block a door in real life.
Ceiling height changes what's possible up top. South Florida homes vary a lot here — some can fit a full third shelf tier, others can't without custom step stools.
Outlets and light switches aren't always where you'd guess. We map these during the in-person consultation so the design works around them, not against them.
"Inventory first, layout second." Most closets fail because they're built for a wardrobe about 30% smaller than what actually needs to fit. Count your hanging items, folded items, and shoes before designing anything.
South Florida's humidity averages around 73% year-round and climbs to 80–90% in summer. That matters more for a custom closet than most people realize — the wrong material warps, swells, or delaminates within a couple of years in this climate, regardless of how good it looks on install day.
